Madonna's Daughter Lourdes Looks Just Like Her in New Ads Best Life

Lourdes Leon may look a lot like her famous mom, but she's enjoying a career that's all her own. It was recently announced that Leon, Madonna's oldest daughter with ex Carlos Leon, would be starring in the campaign for Stella McCartney's latest line with Adidas. This is the second time that Leon—who goes by the nickname Lola—has worked with the designer.

McCartney has been collaborating with Adidas for years now and Leon previously modeled for McCartney and Adidas for the Fall/Winter 2020 campaign. For her Spring/Summer 2021 collection, McCartney again brought on Leon, as well as filmmaker Anna Pollack, who shot short films for the new line.

McCartney's new line with Adidas is called FUTUREPLAYGROUND and is made up of "sustainable performance wear designed for your body, mind and planet," as the brand describes on Instagram.

In a statement about the collection, McCartney said, "After a year spent indoors, I felt a collective desire to reconnect with nature and people who matter—like Lola. Her gift for dance and movement is elemental, and our friendship inspires me to push forward." You can see more of Leon wearing in the collection here.

The short films show the models dancing outside. In addition to dancing and modeling in the campaign, Leon also helped to choreograph it, along with Lynnette Paz. As noted by W Magazine, the 24-year-old majored in dance at the University of Michigan. Leon posted the two videos on her Instagram page where she gave shoutouts to everyone involved.

Last summer, Leon co-directed—again with Pollack—and choreographed her first campaign with McCartney and Adidas. Of that collaboration, she said in a statement (via W Magazine), "My generation is sensitive to the needs of each other and the planet, and the state of the world affects us. I have known Stella my whole life, and trust her sustainable vision for this versatile new performance collection with Adidas."

Before working with McCartney on her Adidas collaborations, Leon modeled for the designer's perfume, Pop, in 2016. And McCartney isn't the only designer Leon has worked with. In 2019, she was in a campaign for Miu Miu. In 2020, she modeled for the brand Miaou and for Parade x Juicy Couture.

On top of that, back in the early 2010s, Leon worked with Madonna on her Material Girl line for teens at Macy's.

Leon seems to be ramping up her modeling, but it's not the only reason she's making headlines. After recently joining Instagram, Leon began responding to fans—particularly ones who mentioned her mom—with rude comments. But, some fans were excited that Leon was insulting them, because it was so surprising. One responded, "OMG I'M FRAMING THIS."
